Tell Me Poem by Darren Harris

Tell Me

Why do you look at me like you do?
Why when I look do I see right through you?
Your eyes have no pupil, there white like pearl,
Just a small black figure, are you a boy or a girl?
Your lips never move, but I can hear what you say,
You talk to me, you whisper to me night and day,
I’m never afraid when I reach out to touch you,
Eve though my hands go right through you,

Do you know me? Do you love me?
You follow me into the willow tree,
You sit with me, you talk to me,
You walk with me into the willow tree,

I don’t know what you want, you never say,
You just follow me in this madness, in this decay,
You left this cruel world, but your still here,
Why won’t you leave it? Are you full of fear?
Or is it me? Is it me? Am I the reason you stay?
Am I the reason? Am I the one you won’t betray?
Are you waiting for me to die? To be with you,
Why won’t you tell me? Tell me is this true?

Do you know me? Do you love me?
You follow me into the willow tree,
You sit with me, you talk to me,
You walk with me into the willow tree,
