Tell My Sister Eid Mubarak Poem by Marwand Bahand

Tell My Sister Eid Mubarak

I wish her all the best, hopefully she'll always remain the role model among the rest
It has been more than 16 years since I haven't hugged her
May God grant her most needed request, I feel sad that I couldn't be today her guest
I wish I could listen to her ups and downs and was next to her
But we live in east and west, and she is still a piece of my heart beneath my chest
I hope one day we’ll live close, like a fresh rose and water
I won't have no rest, if someone heartless will make her depressed
Who will wipe off her tears, inspire her soul in a city where they easily slaughter
Where reckless men abuse women and warlords sell drugs without getting arrested
I wish I could take her out of that dangerous city
Because I start feeling very sad & pity....
