Temple Of Justice' Levite Poem by Olorode Olorunleke

Temple Of Justice' Levite

Temple of justice' Levit

Why looking at me in awe
Dear friend and associate?
Could it be for snubbing your goal?
That your rays are so red in hate

I am me
As I can't walk in your lane
Else, perpetrator of contempt will I be
As your cuts for filing should be in plan

Not to daily lure me to fill your belly
Appreciation for good work is known to the just
And it will be made absolutely
To any diligent servant

Money asked prior to discharging official duty is bribery
Desist from it, it's incriminating
You're a Levite in the temple of justice and it's glory
Be firm to your calling

Resist demons that might stain this temple
The rise, fall or breakdown of the rule of law
Is laid in our hands to handle
Be firm that your gluttony won't lead to the breakdown of law

Let the priests in the temple and litigants
File and transact in peace
For the time so allotted
All hands must be on deck for the rule of law to be respected.
