Temptations Strength Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

Temptations Strength

A tangled knot, we tie it tight,
Our problems born of our own might.
We push and pull, a selfish hand,
And build a prison, understand?

Temptations calls, a tempting tune,
Ignoring shadows, rising soon.
We think we're strong, in firm control,
But lose ourselves, lose heart and soul.

This selfish streak, it digs so deep,
A deadly promise it will keep.
To break the chains, we must let go,
And learn to love, and learn to grow.

For if we hold this tight inside,
Our very selves will start to hide.
So open up, and set us free,
From 'I' to 'We, ' for you and me.
