Tendencies Poem by Abraham Okezie

Tendencies

Sometimes i tend to....
HyperFocus and overlook any surrounding impluse
Becoming lost in my own swirling mental rythym
It's like a trap familiar, one i keep falling into
And sometimes my actions contradicts my thoughts the cognitive disonance some form of mental torture.

In tough times i may fight or flee, never seek support
But ill solve with glee,
Maybe i could use a little humor light?

Mostimes ill just overthink, pondering every step I take,
Dwelling a bit on choices I can't remake.
Very quickly doubts takes its firm holds
Nonetheless Creativity flows like a vibrant stream,
this one my heart trys to redeem
right before I'm lost in a dazzling dream.

With a heart that aches for other's pain
Why i won't i have such difficulty saying 'No'
Often i get lost in this Maze of tendencies,
Scouring my way through this emotionally distorted reality.

These tendencies guide how we get through
For in this journey,
we find our way through

Bram..
