In the dark room, so numb, I lay inside;
Doors closed and it was you who opened it wide.
In my deepest slumber you awakened me,
And lighted up the candles, of my life.
You painted my world with emotion,
And made me smile without intention;
Showed me the beauty that's long hidden,
In the temple, in me lies within.
You made me feel a different kind of love,
A kind of thing even once I never had;
Like flowers ever bloomed under the bright sunlight,
Lifted me up like a butterfly in its flight.
You taught me to become strong on my own,
Keep my feet standing still though I'm alone;
No tremors can shake me though you're not around,
Well, after all, t'was your feet touching the ground.
Now I feel myself glowing,
And I wish it's always tomorrow,
As the morning sun kissed me smiling,
And to that, I thank you!
