Oh thanks to you dear wife
For the wonderful life
We happened to share as
Man and woman, that was.
Sorry that things couldn't be
The best expectedly;
Good that it was so good,
Without much time to brood!
Be happy that we made
It well before we bade
Adieu to life on earth;
Thank God for this nice birth!
Our dreams may have faded;
Queries stay evaded;
We did achieve a bit,
Despite a world, unfit.
Satisfaction is best
In whatever we're dressed;
Forget roads we didn't walk,
And matters we couldn't talk.
There aren't roses sans thorns;
No cattle without horns;
No battles with just wins;
No man without gross sins!
We had a lovely time
Despite inclement clime;
We reached the finish line,
In our own way, quite fine.
Fondly dedicated to my beloved
Wife Mrs.Mercy Celestine
