Thank You For Loving Me - Poem by Barbara Dell Hobbs

Thank you for loving me,
Letting me be me,
regardless of my ethnicity.
Although I am dark brown,
On my color you never frown.
but you know my heart,
Your love you impart.
I am glad to be your child,
When things are not mild,
On my face you put a smile.
