Thank You For The Memories - Poem by Ranock Saing

At a time, it was just you and I, nothing else mattered
Until everything began to shattered
Only left was the pain
And memories was our remain
But why did it have to end that way
Two long years, I can still feel the broken heart today
Somehow, I still miss you
Even after all the misery you’ve put me through
Yet today, you decided to come back?
At first, not seeing you after all these years, hit me like a heart attack
Was she better than me after all?
Was it a good laugh after my fall?
Because I still remember what you said
Now, there’s nothing to regret
All of your words were just lies
I could see clearly I was nothing in your eyes
It was painful to see you go
Before I even got the chance to say I’ll miss you so
The only thing you left was a note
And excuses after excuses was what you wrote
Seeing you fade away, I tried to stop but couldn’t even make a sound
I realized what kind of a heart you had to just stand there while I frowned
Now, I know that your three words were fake
This moment talking to you is for our sake
Just remember, I will find someone else
Indeed I will, one day, no need of your help
Although, I thank you for the tears
Love is what I now I fear
Thank you for making me strong
Things happen, people change, life goes on
