Thank You Friend Poem by Natasha Deann

Thank You Friend

Thank you friend for the
wine you commanded for my
taste, thank you friend for
the roof in the rain—thank
you for the smiles, tears—the
times I thought you understood me
but then you tried to steal my
soul. I'm asking too much from
the human race—I suppose.
