That Girl Poem by Colin Greenfield

That Girl

She is the one everybody knows
about,
But nobody acknowledged,
all except you.
You see her for what she really is,
the most beautiful creature on the face of this earth,
but does she ever see, or think of you in thsi way.

Her eyes shin like the rising sun,
her eyes sparkel like the stars.
She might talk to you, but you know she doesn't like you
like you like her.
You imagine her standing in a long and lonely hallway,
for years she never even notices your presence,
but this will soon change in the near future
sadley she is to late
you are already spraled on the floor gasping for life.
She,
sprints over and clutches your hand and head for dear life
She sputters aloud and says,
don't leave me
then you reply
I have been here all the while but yet you never noticed.
That has all ceased now.
You clutch her and and
stare at her eyes,
oh those glorious, wonderful, yearning
and beautiful eyes.
Then she utters those three amazing words that
most guys, or girls what their entire life to hear
I Love You.

Sadely all you hear is the tight cloging in your throat
straining for breath, then the sound of a loving
hand falling fast, fast to the ground.
The thump,
thump of a slowley dying
heart, then--
the patter patter
of tears lond loathed.
