That Is Earth Poem by Ntsikelelo Justice Dayile

That Is Earth

THAT'S EARTH

Earth has a flow
If you low you go
You slide and show
You Bruise and hide
Get better, heal and restart.

You young and there
Where carnivores share
You want the flair
The glamour and glory
You get it all
They give you more
You act like Queen
They praise you more
You see a hunk
Body like hulk
With muscle and power
You begin to love
He starts to like
You give him all
He thanks and share
You lose and lost
They use you and leave
Hair starts to fall
Beauty starts to fade
At school you fail
Faith, and future fades.

You steal at home
They kick you out
You down and out
You try to blame
You lame and shame
You dull with dust
You burst and cry
They worry and cry
You regret with pain
You die they pay
We forget you existed
Your existence was mere.
