That Man In The Mirror Poem by Pride Mokhele

That Man In The Mirror

Call me gay if you may
But YES, I am in LOVE with that
Man, in the mirror.

I mean, can you blame me?
Just by looking at him you'd understand.
But he's more and goes further and
Deeper than his looks.

He's a passionate man with virtues.
He's an icon, a role model, a hero
To the ones he holds closest
To his heart.

I know he's a good man
Because he has had my back
Since day one.
I can always rely, depend and trust
Him for he has never let me down.

From him I draw strength and become stronger.
He provides hope even when situations
Seem to be bleak.

He and I have a deep understanding
Of one another. We're bonded,
United and completely inseparable.
We pick each other up whenever we're low.
We correct each others mistakes and
Strive to become better.

Without him, I wouldn't be who I am.
Without him, I wouldn't be what I am.
With him on my side invincibility is a
Strong possibility, that together
We will forge into becoming a reality.

So step away from him,
For he is mine. Even though he is
My worst enemy, he is also my worthiest
Friend.

YES, I do, whole heartedly
With every single bio molecule that builds
Me into the being that I am, the
Being that exists before you today.
The being that breathes the same air
That you do.
I love that man in the mirror.
That's my story and it's final.
