“that Must Have Been The Sun” Poem by Seshat Nibada

“that Must Have Been The Sun”

Rating: 3.8

A ribbon at a time
I have unblossomed my
Heart to speak in amethyst
I have given my urges

The language of how the sun rose -
West like an untied bonnet of sunsets
My hips know the light
Like breath, like womb

Yellow boys and girls spill
Into existence, every hour
A ribbon at a time
They will do their part

As the careful Earth spins
I’ll tell them how the sun rose -
Wept in pink, against the safer blues
This is creation mates, purple and sweet

I have unblossomed my star-mind
And set my faith on spiritual-fire
For these wonders here.
