That Once And For Life Poem by Damilola Ogundipe

That Once And For Life

Humbly on the path to the slaughter
He thread then, now and after
As an innocent victim in victory
He died to make death history
He bled to restore victory

A lamb so blameless
A being pure and spotless
So high in thought and action
Ha craved for mortals' perfection
He loved beyond conditions

The lamb though killed
Roared back as a lion freed
The price was His life
To grant us as bees a hive
That once and for life...
