''Live Not'' But ''Live'' Poem by Damilola Ogundipe

Live not by the thoughts of unending days

...not by the thrills of seem-true lies

cherish nature's features...

Respect nature's imperfection

will to outgrow that for which you crave...

Do not hold on to the wind dat blows past

...let go off the black-outs

seek to be the source: the light

...one that lights up strong like a new-born...

...'cause you loose every moment that adds jst as it adds...

Take every moment that you find

...and live to leave knowing you lived...

The days are but a few...

So live to outlive the very last of your breathe

hold that rising sun and make it an enormous blazing fire

cling to the falling rain until you make of it, a river

undestand that you are better than who you are, if you so will

'cause, one day, some day...

You will give out d breathe...

Never to get it back...

A day, an end to the ones who were just alive...

A day, the beginning for those who truly lived...

So i say to you'live not...'

then again i say to you'LIVE'
