That One Time Poem by Robert Rorabeck

That One Time

If I go to the zoo
And remember where we kissed,
In the hidden cave of
The white alligator,
Like the ghost of the one
Who took the hand of old Captain
Hook—
If I kiss my wife there now
Every weekend,
On the mouth like the one
Time I kissed
You, will it create a spell
That will return me to
That day—
That one time
When I kissed you.
