That Place Poem by Chris Leermakers

That Place

Take Me To That Place
I Want To Go Once More
Don't Worry About The Face
I'm Not Keeping Score
Dancing With The Others
They're Trying To Stay In Touch
All Of Their Sweet Mothers
Have Had A Bit Too Much
Seeing So Many Places
And All Those Crazy Faces
I Sing And Laugh A Lot
Trying To Get Off This Spot
But Wind Up Repeating
All The While, I'm Meeting
Strange People And Great Customs
And A Number Of Severe Legends
Take Another Step
It's Time To Make A Move
But Why Should I Go
What Have I Got To Prove
Nothing To Nobody
Not Even To Myself
I'm Searching For Somebody
It Might Be An Elf
They Are Pretty Cool
Might Look A Little Green
Deception Leaves A Fool
Even Though They're Mean...
