That Rainy Goodbye Poem by Pallavi Gangwar

That Rainy Goodbye

like
embers of fire
our hearts crossfired

like
a fine wine
our love was divine

like
a heartfelt connection
my solicitude was brimming with passion

then abruptly
in a flash
the entirety smashed

that
life-loving loyalty
became a lifelong penalty

and
that rainy twilight
became a Eucharist death rite

i cried my eyes out
but nix could sprout out
