There was a dad
There was a mum
And there were children

There was a church
Each Sunday they attend
As a family, united in God
But there were souls
Filled with darkness
Set out to hurt
Destroy and gain

There was love
But hate found its way
There was laughter
That became tears
There was truth
But also deception
There was anger
There was pain
There was brokenness
But also prayers

There is God
And there is Satan
There is peace
But also war
Welcome the presence of God into your home
Don’t allow Satan to destroy it
