That Subliminal Picture

Remember that subliminal picture:
Officer Derek Chauvin
Kneeling on poor George Floyd's neck,
Strangulating the life out of him?

Yeah, the very one.

And what that picture says?
That Subliminal Picture.

Man down;
Hands behind him;
Shackled.
Say hello to your maker;
"We the People"
Can do this to you all day everyday,
Effortlessly;
My hands in my pockets as I take a knee on you;
My hands in my pockets,
Counting my dead presidents;
But as for you;
As for you;
You can only take a knee in the field.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A Minnesota Police officer Derek Chauvin, killed an unarmed, handcuffed black man, George Floyd, who was lain prone on the floor, in May 2020 by mindlessly kneeling on his neck for 9 minutes while he begged for his life, pleading that he could not breathe.

Officer Chauvin had his hand in his pocket while this mindless act of racial cruelty played out, indicating the fact that he knew that the black man George Floyd was no threat to him, the police officer. Yet the police man made sure to accomplish this heinous crime unabashedly.

The picture and message of intent which the still picture of this wickedness of a human to a fellow human cuts is cut in words in this poem.

The picture says it all. It is simply a subliminal picture of a show of supremacy; white supremacy.
