That Was Just Her Vibe! Poem by Lost Butterfly

That Was Just Her Vibe!

Once upon a time,
There was a girl
Alive, but dead
Not dead, but not alive
And that was just her vibe!

She saw good in people,
But people, were not meant to be good
Little did she know, they were just a bunch of crooks

She prayed to God,
To give her peace
But all she got, was a piece
Of what, you ask?
Of the heart she had
It was broken but she wasn't mad

Why, you ask?
Because the heart pumped blood
And her blood had gone cold,
When she saw the corpse of her innocence
On the ground,
But she was bold
So she collected the pieces,
And weaved them again
But she never put it back

She framed it,
And hanged it on the wall
As a souvenir,
Of the day she went dead

Not dead enough not to breathe,
But dead enough not to feel
Nobody knew that she was dead,
All thought that she was alive;
And that, my friend, was just her vibe!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
While writing this poem, my motivation was a girl who grew up too soon, but as I was writing it, it somehow turned into something that portrayed the pain of a girl who went through an assault. It may not be the best, but it comes from my heart.
