That Word Poem by snejana novosedlova

That Word

That word. Which definition
Is now rumble, not ambition.
It has no meaning, simple gesture
Of appreciation, solemn pressure.
An empty word, that one enlightened,
It devastated, even frightened,
The soul-less humans, it delighted
And made us all, once, feel complete.

We drained our cups with foul corruption,
We pushed emotion to eruption
We lost the element of being human
Instead of piece we brought destruction.

That word. Four simple letters
Vaguely portray what really matters.
I was so used to being blind and
Fail to see the world surrounding
You opened up a world so bright
The one i never thought to find
The one that knows no real boundaries.

That word. L stands for lust
O is for ocean, of your eyes that i just drown in
It's not word, it's pure emotion
Were you and i are now found in.
