Thd Midnight Fright Poem by Hriata Sailo

Thd Midnight Fright

I lie awake, so dark in the mid-night
Cold and fever alone I fight.
Grandma's so far, exam so near.
My muscles gone, deep inside I fear.
If I'm with Grandma, all my fears shall be gone.
I cry, afraid of passing away with my work undone.

I pray to God, asking for his protection
All that returned was a questions
If I am his son, shall I fear harm?
If he's with me, shall I feel alone and afraid?
I open my eyes, still dark but so bright.
He's with me, my loneliness gone and so my fright.
