You cannot capture the spirit of a people
In a word, a photograph, or a song
The wild horses of our nature
Cannot be corralled in the narrow confines
Of our preconceived notions of who we would like
Or expect the other to be
We are like the wind, all of us
And must be free
And in our freedom, in the respect we show
For those who are different
We give life to one another, breath
Purpose and meaning
The separate parts in all their splendor
Contribute
To the sanctity of the unified
Whole.
