Vacant faces mounted on mechanical limbs
mindlessly navigate the uneven pavements.
Worn tyres torture the tarmac,
their accompanying exhalations
exhausting our lungs.
No respecters of age or class!
Pale empty people filter into
frantic workplaces.
Smokers, expelled from polite company,
haunt the unhealthy doorways,
gently exhaling nicotine into the polluted air.
There is no discrimination -
regardless of sex, race or creed
everyone is encouraged to die.
