The Ants Marching On Poem by Lee Gelis

The Ants Marching On

The ants march on
In apathetic conteplation,
Not the orotond cries,
Nor the battle, nor inflation,
The sun will rise and set
With little difference in the day,
To the ants that march on
With nothing interesting to say,
With the eyes of a demon,
Lips of a saint,
Mine own heart I will use
For the stars that I paint,
No gun will ever stop them,
No imagined marathon,
No human event will end
The ants marching on.
