The Arm Across Poem by John B Sasser

The Arm Across

Here at my first sight
this professor guides my light
unto a bold step we go noting the words of wisdom
When he speaks there is now space
thus he searches for eyes that might share his ace.
Not unknown is his onward search,
A professor synchs those that stay especially the new one with a perch.
Down on his head the young lad stays, not looking his professor is ever watching,
It is his arm across that the professor sees,
like a honeycomb to protect from the bee.
Stretched for just the room,
Bent inward to support his grades, as if to stay mount von doom.
