The Assasins Of The Future Poem by Olalawal Muzzamil

The Assasins Of The Future

Rating: 4.8

Are they here again?
Those that intoxicates the youth populace
With corruption and at the other tunnel wish
to wash them clean.
Have they forgotten that madness can be a
hundred percently cured?

Are they here again?
Those that stylishly expose you to bribery,
In the name of campaign,
And wants you to stop after their victory.
Dint you tell them?
That you are like the oliver;
You pretend to detest
Not until your first taste will you twist for
more.

Are they still here?
Those that make promises just to have
Your thumb on those white sheet of deceits.
And afterwards look on you
Like you are the world's 'gratest' fool.
Perhaps, we must have learnt our lessons.

Are they still around?
Will you tell them to leave!
Before i set them ablaze.
Those that believe the meriment of life
is theirs alone.
Shall we remind them
That the meriment of hell shall, also, be theirs
alone.

They keep on dividing us,
With their gerimandering and
maladministeration,
Into several units.
Yet they claim we are united.

Perhaps they need more cakes to 'chop'
Kindly tell them that my cakes aint
Painted Green and White but Tears and
Sorrow.
He that tastes it, tastes nemesis.

The unstopable flow of stream falling from
our eyes
Seized to stop.
Who knows? Who is ready to draw out the
sword
Of truth from its scarbbard?
Pls tell them to take their leave!
Or i ll invoke on them a prayer of no mercy.
For my mind content has nothing good
towards them
But deadly venom stronger than the snake's.

Are they still there?
Then, i guess, they need a rain of blissful curse.
