The Awakening Poem by John Earing

The Awakening

My gaze is fixed on the chance that life can envelope hospitality and relieve scorn covered wrath.
Bewildered by the branding that society states that its impossible to achieve for those with limitless gratuity.
Over the horizon are the dreams of those that have no clue on how to express them.
That light at the end of the tunnel is flickering because of the disbelief that inner wisdom is valuable.
Sold! To the person with the most money that has the least of the needs and is overstocked in selfishness.
Oh the bitter taste of regret, its best served to some other poor soul who believes in the collective.
WAKE UP!
