The Beast Poem by Teniola Olajide

The Beast

Rating: 3.0

The beast upon my brow
Winks all night
Seeking!
Raving!
Hating the feelings
Deriliously waiting
The dawn and the morn
The beast upon my lips
Twitches all day
Clamoring!
Reeling!
Tremor at the clamor
Hissing to get spat
Onto the sand of times
The beast upon my chest
Heaves with a loud thud
Raging!
Flaring!
Pounding against the confinement
Of my heart
Begging to be let loose
Like a broken dam
