The Beauty I Thought Is Poem by Vivian Muciri

The Beauty I Thought Is

Rating: 4.0

I thought of what beauty is,
I dreamt of a love to give,
Will I ever become his?
Will he, my love outlive?

A candle lit dinner it is,
Dressed with see-through sleeve,
My hair done in latest frizz,
For tonight I have love give,

He sits and stares with ease,
My heart pounds through the eve,
I could feel his finger under the helms,
I knew his love he will give,

Am left to pounder if its whims,
When he got up to leave,
unable to hold back, my tears fell in heaves,
this moment I will relive,

The beauty I thought is,
when love I give,
felt like just a fizz,
For he decided to leave,

A beautiful poem on love and expectation of hopes. A good poem.
