The Beauty Of Lourdes Poem by Michael J ORourke2

The Beauty Of Lourdes

The beauty of a child asleep
The precious token of a heart to keep
The silence that mystifies the night
The prayers that keep the grotto bright

Tonight Mary smiled- a vision so grand
As we solemnly prayed- touching hand to hand
The angels winked at our initial grasp
My soul signed at your gentle clasp

Two souls merged that night
Praying aloud with rosaries held tight
Did Mary know form the very start
Such joy could grade two prayer-filled hearts?
