a child 5 or 6
looking up to her father
only to see leather flying towards her
tears streaming down young cheeks
hiding in her room
looking for a place to feel safe
for someone to trust
suddenly she feels warm
arms wrapping her shoulders
but no one is there
a voice comes from the silence
'dont worry kid. im here. he wont hurt you again.
not while im here.'
she is pulled from reality
back into the recesses of her brain
a man with blond hair embraces her
and lets her cry in his chest.
'youre so brave. you can rest now. im here.'
the man brings the girl to a new room in her brain
she jumps and runs to the pile of stuffed animals
she finally feels safe
another man walks in and smiles at the first man
'my turn? ' he asks
the blond man nods and turns back to the girl.
the brunet man grins
and goes back to reality in the girls place
he raises his head and sees their angry father looming
'he wont hurt her again'
