The Best - Poem by Jerry Abrahamson

We always think that
We would like to be
The best at something
In the world today

We think of all the fame
That this would bring us
And that everyone in the world
Would know who we are

But, we don't think about
What this actually costs
That we would have no freedom
And have no time to ourselves
