The Bindi Poem by Vamshi Durgam

The Bindi

Rating: 5.0

The point interpolated amid eyebrows
The point of awakening, nobody knows
The point where major nerves meet
The point of sixth Ajna chakra, beam heat

The Third eye of spiritual sight
See things that physical eyes can't light
The mind's eye of divine sleuth
Seek things for absolute truth

Massaging this locale so tender
Headache, sinus everything surrender
Bindi at this divine spot
Serves the wealth of health alot

Hygroscopic kumkum, characteristic red
Retain positive energy as science said
Ash, Kumkum, Chandan and mighty Tilak
Vedas proclaim that grant rightly luck

The magic of bindi unaware my mates
A speck amid eyebrows, charm it creates
Plastic bindi serve no purpose wimpy
Quintessence lies in the powdered bindi.
