The Bird - Poem by Jerry Abrahamson

I'm taking car of
My girlfriends pet bird
And I don't think
That he likes me

I think it might
Have something to do
With the fact that
I woke up before midnight

I guess that he will
Have to get used to it
Because I like to
Get up and burn the midnight oil
