The Birthday Poem by Jerry Milton

The Birthday

Lie still, lie still, look up to the sky
Let us give us a moment to wait
Let our spirits let out a sigh
A moment for us to celebrate
Sounds of joy and rhythm will come
As petals and blades of green all glisten
The flute, the whistle the strings and drum
The earth has music for those who listen
Close our eyes and open our ears
To the sounds of the orchestra of life at play
We'll find the wonder of life appears
To join us in celebrating your special day
