The Birthday Wish

Poem by Lola Kysar

In honoring the anniversary of your birth
I hope you'll be made aware of your life's worth,
That the sun will shine and skies be blue
And events relating to sadness will shy away from you.
This day will soon be numbered in the past,
I pray for you happiness that will forever last.
Respect from your children in an abundant supply
And many good friends that will never say good-bye.
That you'll always be in possession of good health,
These things being yours, You'll have much wealth.
When the days number less in the future than those left behind
I truly hope one day while reminiscing you'll happily find
A unique and pleasant memory or two
Form the days that have spent with you.
