Alas, the storm has receded and left the heart,
The bitter winds liquefy in its last fury of discontent,
Dark clouds vanished reluctantly with the flood,
That emptied the space which was once full of hope,
Revealing unforgiving ruin that shatters through,
Splinters and fragments of the soul, thick and thin,
Leaving behind a wreckage of thoughts, of me and you,
And all the beauty of what we could have been.
