The Blessed Month Ramadhan Poem by Ishrat khan

The Blessed Month Ramadhan

Ramadan is approaching; only few days to go
Appetite for Allah is what Muslims going to follow
It's a privilege to you before dawn to till dusk
For your every cravings and your every thirst
It's not only about control over your hunger
But also over pride and ego to be more tender
It's a month to avoid false talk and false behaviour
To the ignorant the torment of qayamah is near
When Hellfires are closed and devils are chained
Paradise are opened for more blessings to be gained
Ask forgiveness sincerely; he will forgive he ensure
If your sleep is less and your pray is more
It was the night of qadr; the quran was revealed
'O you who believe fasting is prescribed to you indeed! '
It's a venerated month ever for observing sawm
Where tahajudd duas are answered if you sacrifice your nawm
Attain taqwa to get your past sin washed away
Those will be rewarded who abandon desires for Allah's sake
Iftar is the time that awaits you all long day
Before you break the fast supplicate to your dismay
