The Blue Bird And Her Baby Blue Bird Poem by Natasa To

The Blue Bird And Her Baby Blue Bird

High in a tree where the soft winds blew,
Lived a little blue bird with feathers of blue.
Beside her branch, so tiny and bright,
Was her baby blue bird, a beautiful sight.

"Come, little one, spread your wings wide,
The sky is waiting, so fly beside."
The baby chirped, "I'm learning to fly! "
And fluttered his wings toward the bright blue sky.

They danced through the clouds in the morning sun,
Two little birds having so much fun.
The mother bird sang a sweet, gentle song,
"Don't be afraid—you'll fly all day long."

And when evening came with a golden hue,
They flew back home as the soft breezes blew.
Snuggled together beneath the moonlight,
The blue bird and baby slept peacefully that night.
