The Boat Poem by Lionara S.t.m.o.l

The Boat

The boat that you nailed, others will lead

Others will tread it, others sail will open

Other will light on lamps in north-facing masts

In shipbuilding sweated nailing hands

The mouths silenced, fingers knives, to the eyes came tear

Stayed desperately

To hit by the seas, to asked by dreams, to look stars

The boat that you nailed, others will lead...

This is a translation of the poem Το Καραβάκι by Lionara S.T.M.O.L.
