The Boat, The Ladder And The Gratitude Poem by KAVIN CHARALAN

The Boat, The Ladder And The Gratitude

The boat you sailed
If you give a kick
Poor lifeless thing
May drift in the
Listless water

The ladder which
Helped you to ascend
If you give a heartless kick
Poor lifeless wooden piece
May helplessly fall flat
On the floor

Man who helped you
To rise in your life
If you forget and ignore
Poor soul
May regret in silence

But the Time, the Ladder
Will be waiting for you
And for the right moment
When you try to rise
Further in your life
It will move a little away
And give you a hard kick
You will fall down flat
And when you try to get a foothold
The time will loudly laugh at you
For your act of ingratitude
