The Bonds Poem by Shawn Garrison

The Bonds

The Bond
We met under an apple tree, during a sunny day.
It must have been our destiny, until she went away.
Feelings that I never felt, as long as I could remember.
My love for her and no one else, made official that November.
Since she is living in my home, every moment I do cherish.
If she were to leave me alone, then certainly I'd perish.
I truly am appreciative, for every single kiss.
And grateful for this life we live, which leaves me in bliss.
I love to look into her eyes, with my hands upon her breasts.
Her laughs, her moans and even cries, the sounds when we're undressed.
Sometimes we take rides in cars; I'm enamored by her grace.
Enchanting I can see the stars, when I look upon her face.
Although our bond grows stronger now, we're much closer than before...
She loves me through I wonder how, I wish I could do more.
I love her with every breath, never withering from the start.
As I look upon my death, I hope we'll never be apart.

Two years later.

The Broken Bond
We met under a dying tree, and I was looking at the ground.
Disgusted as she looked at me, overhead, there were dark clouds.
We had to make this meeting brief, this woman was deranged.
And all she done was cause me grief, belongings were exchanged.
We said goodbye and walked away, our bond was surly broke.
A boiling rage on winters day, how I wish she'd choke.
Love is defiantly one thing, that life can devour.
The song of loathing which I sing, that presently is sour.
Sometimes I sit back and think, about her face that I’d caress.
When I have a couple drinks, her endless vision I detest.
We told each other we'd grow old, and always be together.
That woman is so f***ing cold, relationship now severed.
The time we spent together once bliss, but now I'm in denial.
And all I do is reminisce, about feelings that are vile.
I hoped that we would never part, and if we would I'd cry.
She drove a stake into my heart, I hope she f***ing dies.
