The Bower Bird Poem by ERNEST CLARY

The Bower Bird

Rating: 5.0

Such a fancy fellow is he
builds his mound on the ground
rather than a tree
decorates his mound
with colorful things he found
for the chicks to see
he arranges his pebbles and shells
if at love he fails
he moves his ornaments around
over and over again
till a mate is found
