The Boy Who Was Shy Poem by Xander NeufeldBayer

The Boy Who Was Shy

When I was a young lad, I too had a crush.

I wanted to ask them out and I tried many times
and many told me I was as good looking as a wolf
and as strong as a hoax.

yet I could never ask.
For every time I would try to walk over
my legs would become as stiff as a concrete wall
and my heart raced like a car
and my mind would malfunction like a broken phone
I was a shy boy.
