Breathe some new life back into me
I feel so numb;
Broken
I need to feel alive again
No longer suffocated by pain
And disappointment

I think back now on happier times
Remembering the laughter;
Music to my ears
My senses reeling,
With so much beauty
Now taken.

Please give some of it back now...
The breath of life;
A distant memory
Alive for a moment in my heart...
No longer haunted by tears
Only happiness.
