The Brightest Star In The Sky Poem by Deborah Blackburn

The Brightest Star In The Sky

Where you came from nobody knows
a distant place, a time of your own,
your arrival skipped the heartbeat of one,
a forgotten existance, u watch from above

High over the clouds you gleam and shine,
i have no idea what secrets you hide,
your soul is engulfed with with flames of light,
and mystery presents itself in chime

A moment of weakness, u make me cry,
i crave and yearn to be by your side,
all the things you've seen along the journey,
amazement and wonder when you tell your story

The world you see is not of your time,
and you part swiftly from this life,
but the truth that i ask, it does not lie
........for you are the brightest star in the sky!
