The Broken Poem by lejax parker

The Broken

A distant call makes my world quake my body lies dead but my mind is awake long left hungry my heart aches one last call and it breaks.

What once was sweet now a sour taste my body once strong now battered
and bruised I lie weak I am the accused one last call its all it takes one last call and it breaks
a castle is only as strong the man who makes it he only knows the chinks to break it yet here I lay under the rubble a castle strong it is no longer.

Tell me please how can this be why do I lay here never to be free is that all it takes to break a man a few words guided by your hand your commands pierce me destroy me from inside as my heart and your words collide I lay broken but for only today tomorrow I will wake made anew my feelings will change but my memories shall stay but till then here I lay.
